You can follow me on the storygraph to see what I’m reading. I also regularly update book lists on bookshop.org. These are affiliate links!
I have a reading disability that makes it hard for me to process written information quickly, so I tend to consume books through audio. I love using the Libby app for free audiobooks through my local library. If I can’t get a copy from there, I purchase them through Libro.fm because they partner with small bookshops! (Use code CHOOSEINDIE for a free book!)
If a book doesn’t have an audio option, you can get a kindle version and have the Alexa app read it out loud to you. It sounds pretty damn good! (Here’s a video on how to do it!)
Speechify is another incredible resource. Check it out here!
Happy Reading! <3
Book isn’t available on audio? Here are a few workarounds!
Most kindle/e-pub books you get through the library can be read via the Alexa app on your phone. The voice is pretty good and it’s FREE.
Speechify has been so helpful! I get e-books and load them on my phone. The reader reads it to me just like an audiobook. I think the voices sound pretty darn good! Bonus - it can read articles, documents and other written words on my phone and computer.
